Ad Lib Avant Gardening Malbec

 WINEMAKER’S NOTES:

Western Australia was warm and dry. Even ripening produced classic varietal definition, very intense flavors and soft, gentle acidity. Selected yeasts and fermentation methods and very gentle treatment of the fruit were employed. Extraction was soft. Following pressing, the wine was aged in 5-7 year old oak and bottled after 5 months.

Earthy and savory on the nose with tobacco notes. The spicy, earthy herbs for this variety coat the palate for a balanced finish. A distinctive varietal character brings very deep inky wine with moderate tannin and plum-like notes. The juicy fruit flavors are finished with light violet aromas. Ripe, supple tannins and light oak influence supporting the palate. The wine is complex and integrated, due to the strong fruit influence.

PAIRING SUGGESTIONS:
