Légende Saint-Emilion

 WINEMAKER’S NOTES:

2013 in Saint-Emilion was characterized by difficult weather conditions. A wet spring resulted in decreased flowering and uneven grape size. Two hailstorms on July 26th and August 2nd caused varying amounts of damage in the vineyard. 2013 was one of the most difficult vintages in the last 30 years, with an average decrease in yields of 30%, making them the worst since the frost of 1991! The grapes began to ripen relatively late, not starting August until 10th. Meticulous work in the vineyard and very strict selections in the winery enabled some pleasant surprises and successes.

Medium intensity with ruby color. Lovely, expressive and seductive on the nose, dominated by red fruits (blackcurrants, raspberries) and subtle toasted notes. Direct and fruity on the palate with supple tannins. The finish is fresh and aromatic. A soft, accessible wine for easy-drinking.
