Tuesdays Unscrewed
The perfect Tuesday night wine isn’t expensive, it has to go with a quick easy meal, or leftovers, and it has to taste amazing, because it’s Tuesday night and you shouldn’t compromise…
Adam Puchta Dry Vignoles
Vignoles is an up and coming grape in Missouri. It’s high acidity and remarkable citrus fruit characteristics make it the perfect summer wine. When it’s made to be a dry wine, as Adam Puchta Dry Vignoles is, it rivals any New Zealand sauvignon blanc. Interesting white grape varieties from all over the world are becoming more and more popular. Vignoles should be considered among those from Spain, Italy and France. Wine consumers don’t have to settle for purchasing only California Chardonnay, there are so many other types of wine to chose from these days. Tonight’s featured wine comes from Herman Missouri, from a winery with a lot of great history in Missouri, that is still producing fantastic, award winning wines. It has nice citrus fruit characteristics, balanced acid, with some floral notes. It would be a perfect match with grilled seafood, chicken dishes or a salad. Or simply enjoy a glass out on the deck, patio or swinging in a hammock. Cheers!
Dry Vignoles and other Adam Puchta wines can be found at The Wine Barrel in Sunset Hills. Buy local, shop local!
