As people left Europe and colonized the new world they brought grape vines with them. In some cases those vines thrived and produced exciting new wines. But, sometimes the wines didn’t taste as good and other options had to be explored, which introduced new wines to the market. In this class we’ll sample wines from the U.S, as well as wines from southern hemisphere countries. We’ll discuss the similarities and differences between new world and old world wines. We’ll also look at new trends in the wine world and discuss their potential impact on the growing wine industry.
