WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
Deep ruby red with violet at the rim. The intense and elegant nose is full of ripe black and red fruits such as cherries and blackberries as well as notes of pastry, fruit preserves, and sweet spices. Notes of toasted hazelnuts and mocha from the French oak lend pleasing complexity. With time in the glass, the wine opens with notes of black pepper and Serrano ham. The palate is nicely balanced with well-structured, rounded tannins and a long and pleasing finish.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS:
Highly recommended with red meats, Chinese beef and vegetables, pork chops, spaghetti with Bolognese sauce, and lamb chops.
