WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
The 2014 vintage of THE Dark reveled in a long and well-balanced growing season. With warm days and cool nights, the fruit reached peak quality in time for harvest. Don’t be afraid of THE Dark – enjoy now or over the next three years.
Our 2014 THE Dark is inky in color with herbal aromas of juniper and black pepper. The rich, velvety texture is full of jammy blue and black fruit flavors like plum, blueberry and cassis with a long finish that is smooth and full.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS:
THE Dark can hold its own against slow roasted short ribs and rosemary-crusted lamb, but is equally delicious to indulge in after dinner alongside aged Gouda or a cocoa nib flourless chocolate cake.
