WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
An intense dark color with toasty aromas, vanillan, green coffee beans and red plums. In the mouth it is concentrated, round with soft tannins and refreshing. It has a long finish and is smooth on the palate.
92 Points – Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
“Fashioned from an interesting blend of 50% Syrah, 30% Grenache and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon aged three months in French oak, the opaque purple-colored 2011 Pur displays notes of salty sea breezes, wet rocks, intense blueberry and black raspberry fruit, and hints of roasted meats and bouquet garni. This superb effort comes from relatively young vines planted just above sea level. It should drink well for 4-5 years.”
