WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
After gently crushing and destemming the grapes, we fermented the must (juice and skins) in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to maintain maximum fruit expression in the finished wine. Full malolactic fermentation gave the wine roundness and depth, while aging for nine months with French and American oak added complexity.
Our 2014 Zinfandel is medium-bodied and slightly off dry. The wine reveals aromas of boysenberry with a hint of vanilla oak and baking spices. Lush, ripe boysenberry flavors follow, with sweet oak, baking spices, and clove.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS:
This Zinfandel will make a fine match for a wide range of hearty dishes, including BBQ ribs, grilled steak, pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, or cheeseburgers.
