Vila Nova Douro Red

WINEMAKER’S NOTES:

The grapes from Vila Nova Douro Red wine are from the oldest wine region in the world. Harvest is conducted 100% by hand f i th t 20 from vines that are 20-to- 30 ld ith th b t f 30 years old, with the best grapes of each of the above varietals chosen for fermentation at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. Fifty percent of the finished wine is then aged for six months in used 400 liter French oak barrels.

This fresh red wine has a dark, deep and intense ruby color, with a nose dominated by fruity aromas that carry through to the mouth It is well mouth. It is well-balanced with silky tannins finishing long and balanced with silky tannins, finishing long and fruit-filled.

PAIRING SUGGESTIONS:

This wine is ideally served at room temperature with light meat dishes, such as pork, or flavorful, hard cheeses, such as Italian cow and sheep’s milk cheeses.
