WINEMAKER’S NOTES:
In order to highlight the fresh, vibrant character of our 2014 Chardonnay, the juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks. We allowed a small portion of our blend to go through malolactic fermentation, adding richness and balancing the wine’s natural acidity. Oak aging on the lees for five to six months enriched the wine’s texture and complexity and added just a hint of sweet vanilla and spice.
Our Woodbridge Chardonnay displays aromas of tropical fruit with a hint of cinnamon and maple, leading to a rich, toasty finish.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS:
This vibrant, medium-bodied Chardonnay is lovely to pair with appetizers, including grilled summer vegetables and fresh fruits. Additionally, the wine can be enjoyed with heartier dishes such as lemon-pepper chicken. Best served slightly chilled.
