Summers Estate Andriana’s Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon

It’s a big, bold wine with plenty of spicy notes and it pairs perfectly with grilled meat. That description sums up today’s featured wine. Summers Estate is a family owned, small production winery from Napa Valley. They pride themselves on making an assortment of wines that reflect the quality of the growing region and pair with an assortment of foods. The Summers Andriana’s Cuvee is a blend, but maybe not the type of blend you’re used to, it’s a blend of both Sonoma and Napa Valley fruit, with a small amount of Lake County grapes as well. A blend doesn’t always have to a blend of grapes, even though this wine does a few other complimentary grapes other than Cabernet. A blend, or cuvee can also be a reflection of different regions. The winery also makes another wine with the rare Charbono grape, a very interesting and intriguing wine. After you decant the Andriana’s Cuvee for about 30 minutes enjoy it with a steak, grilled veggies, lamb or some nice pasta with red sauce. It’s rich, bold flavors with nice red fruits will entice you to have another glass. Cheers!
