Maysara 3° Pinot Noir, McMinnville, Oregon
Pinot Noir is such a food friendly and appealing wine. It’s a versatile grape that can pair with almost anything. Today’s featured wine is 3 degrees Pinot Noir from Oregon’s Willamette Valley, a region well suited for growing world class Pinot Noir. 3 Degrees Pinot Noir is made by Maysara Winery in McMinnville. Maysara is a family owned and operated winery started in the late 1990’s by the Momtazi family. Moe and Flora Momtazi are the owners, with their 3 daughters serving active roles in the wineries operations. Tahmiene Momtazi is the winemaker for all of their wines with her two sisters Naseem and Hanna also involved in running the winery. This wine has wonderful cherry, blackberry and raspberry notes with a finish of nutmeg and other spices. Pair this wine with baked salmon, pork tenderloin or lasagna. Cheers!
