Tuesdays Unscrewed

The perfect Tuesday night wine isn’t expensive, it has to go with a quick easy meal, or leftovers, and it has to taste amazing, because it’s Tuesday night and you shouldn’t compromise…

One Hope Cabernet Sauvignon, California

pizzaday-188 one-hopeDrinking really good wine on a week night is a real treat, and when it benefits a charity that’s even better. The One Hope brand of wines is a product by the talented and famous winemaker Rob Mondavi Jr. His philosophy is to use his knowledge and expertise of the wonderful Northern California growing regions to source really good quality fruit for a line up of great wines. Each wine represents a different charity from breast cancer, animal charities, autism and many more. Much of the proceeds of the wine are giving to charity, and they track what kind of impact they are making through the sales of the wine. Today’s featured wine is the California Cabernet Sauvingon. It’s rich, bold and spicy with balanced tannins and plenty of fresh red fruit. The wine has a long finish and is best served after about 30 minutes of aeration. If you’re grilling some burgers or veggies tonight, or even grabbing a pizza on the way home, this wine will match perfectly. Cheers!
