Domaine Drouhin Pinot Noir

WINEMAKER’S NOTES:

Véronique’s Tasting Notes: – “Our 2013 Dundee Hills cuvée is classically balanced, elegant, focused, and and very clearly representative of our estate’s terroir. The color is a beautiful mix of garnet and ruby. Aromatically dynamic, floral notes with bright red fruit and spice fill the bouquet and palate. It is a mix of roses and violets with red hills earth, white pepper, red currant, cassis, light vanilla, pomegranate and warm cherry pie. On the palate, the texture is layered and complex, and the finish is quite long with well integrated tannins that will round in time. Our 2013 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir is young, but very pleasing now, and will only improve with time and patience. Enjoy today, and through the next five to eight years.”

PAIRING SUGGESTIONS:

Pinot Noir is well-suited to pair with poultry, beef, fish, ham, lamb and pork. It will play well with creamy sauces, spicy seasonings and may just be one of the world’s most versatile food wines.

94 Points – Decanter
Oregon Pinot Noir: Expert’s Choice- Made in a more Burgundian style, aged 8-10 months in barrel. Elegant, ripe dark fruits, cassis and violets with spicy and smoky notes. Young but pleasing.
