We had an amazing group at our Fundamentals of Wine class on July 8 at The Wine Barrel. Attendees learned how wine was made, how to taste and smell wine, what wines should be decanted, at what temperatures wines should be served and why wine bottles are shaped in various ways. A blind tasting took place with both a white and red. We talked about the different wine regions of the world and the different styles of wine. The Wine Barrel supplied us with delicious cheeses and crackers that paired nicely with the wines we sampled:
