Mike Ward of Ward on Wine was proud to, once again, be part of the St. Louis Magazine’s Food Wine Design, held this year June 1-5 at Lumen Event Space.
Monday Evening
On Monday evening Chef Michael Sullivan from 801 Chophouse and Chef Nick Miller from 23 City Blocks Catering presented a “Surf ‘n’ Turf” themed four course meal. Mike Ward was the wine presenter and paired the courses with these wines:
Tuesday Evening
On Tuesday evening Chef Gerard Craft or Craft Restaurants Ltd. and Chef Kevin Nashan of Sidney Street Cafe and Peacemaker Lobster & Crab served a “Celebrate Missouri” menu. Mike Ward presented these wines to pair with the courses:

Wednesday Evening
Wednesday evening becomes Italian night with the “Viva Italia” menu prepared by Chef Rich LoRusso from LoRusso’s Cucina and Chef Gian Nicola Colucci from Cielo at The Four Seasons Hotel. This time James Small wood of 33 Wine Shop & Bar paired the wines.

Thursday Evening
Thursday evening Chef Lou Rook of Annie Gunn’s and Chef Bill Cardwell of Cardwell’s at the Plaza and BC’s Kitchen set the menu. “Old World Inspiration, New World Dedication. Mike Ward paired the wines presented by Glenn Bardgett, Wine director at Annie Gunn’s.
